Support for the medium-dependent interface auto-MDI(X)
• The Ethernet interface does not support auto-MDI(X). If the network card of the PG/PC
does not support auto-MDI(X) either, only crossed cables may be used to connect
devices.
• The PROFINET interfaces support Auto MDI(X). It is therefore possible to use both
crossed and uncrossed cables to connect the devices.
• The CBE20 Communication Board also supports auto-MDI(X). It is therefore possible to
use both crossed and uncrossed cables to connect the devices.
