Table 4-1. Allowable Diameter Range of the Power Cable
The small system cabinet (1000 mm height) cannot be furnished with an emergency o unit
because of space availability in the system cabinet.
The Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is the primary unit for controlling and distributing ac
power. The PDU must be connected to the power source using the power cable. The following
describes how to make this connection.
When an Emergency Off Unit is Furnished
The PDU is located at the bottom of the rear panel. The LINE switch, which is on the
emergency o unit, is located at the top of the front side. The emergency o unit is connected
to the PDU at the factory. You must connect the PDU to the power source at your site by
using your power cable.
Power source requirements depend on the electrical option installed in your system. The PDU
can accommodate one of four types of power: 100 Vac, 120 Vac, 220 Vac, and 240 Vac. The
maximum current for each PDU is shown in Table 4-2.
