Notes
Observe the following notes for the command line call:
Note
Observe the sequence of the switches
The switches should be written to in the specified sequence.
When doing this, observe the Section "Call" and the table "Significance of the switches".
Note
Path data
● Paths must be specified in double inverted commas if spaces are included
Example: "C:\Path with spaces\Expert_Logfile.log"
● Paths may never end with '\'.
Note
Saving batch files
Always save batch files with ANSI/ASCII coding.
Note
Umlauts and special characters
Avoid the use of umlauts and special characters in path names.
If special characters or umlauts are to be correctly processed in specified paths, batch files
with command line calls must be saved with the same character set as used by the region-
specific command line interpreter (cmd.exe).
For example, Codepage 850, also known as DOS Latin 1, applies for the region Western
Europe.
The Notepad editor integrated in Windows does not support saving files with this character set.
Note
Upper/lower-case
For the command line switch and arguments, always use the specified uppercase/lowercase
syntax.
