Commenting
Commenting - ; Comment
Comments are identified by a semicolon as prefix. As a consequence, all of the characters up
to the end of the line are no longer evaluated.
In order to comment out several lines simultaneously, select the corresponding lines and use
Ctrl+K+C.
To undo commenting out, use Ctrl+K+U.

4.7.1
General information about system variables
System variables for Expert
The system variables, which you can use in the script and when configuring, are structured
using the Package (Page 106), Dialogs (Page 111) andSteps (Page 196).
In addition, there is a list of system variables from the package environment (Page 305).
Use of system variables is supported in the script editor for dialog, step and task scripts and
in tasks using the automatic completion function (IntelliSense).
Most system variables are provided with values for the first time during configuration. These
values can be modified when using configuration files for the deployment or executing the
package. Some variables are only available during the package execution.
During package execution as well, system variables can be changed in dialog, step or task
scripts or manipulation tasks by write accesses before these system variables come into effect
in the sequence.
Conventions
Take the following conventions into account:
● Upper/lower-case is not relevant.
● In compound names, the beginnings of words are written in uppercase for better legibility.
● Values of enumerations are written in uppercase throughout.
