5.5 HighSpeed Settings

With the machining of free form surfaces, there are high demands on ma-

chining speed, as well as accuracy and surface finish.

The optimal speed in conjunction with the machining method (roughing,

prefinishing, finishing) can be adjusted easily with the function "HighSpeed

It is advisable to program the cycle in the technology part first, before pro-

gramming the geometry part.

Machining methods:

With the function "HighSpeed settings" you can select from 3 different

technological machining methods (see pictures to the right):

"prefinishing"

"deselect" (none, default setting)

These machining methods are associated directly with accuracy, velocity

and surface quality of the contour path (see the triangles in the helping pic-
