Troubleshooting: TDU Troubleshooting Tables and Status LEDs
Determine the error codes being reported by TDU and use the table
below to help troubleshoot the cause and identify the repair.
Definition
DC bus over-voltage trip
IPM (Intelligent Power Module)
trip
Over-current trip
Over-speed trip
GE T2100 Treadmill
2021403-031
Check These Items
Indicates the DC Bus voltage has exceeded the overvoltage level.
1. Powercycle the GE T2100 Treadmill and monitor the GE T2100
Treadmill for reoccurrence of this error. (This may be an isolated
incident.)
2. Verify that the AC power supply voltage is correct. See
Voltage Test"
on page 3-5.
3. Verify that the voltage check test points on the power and
processor control boards are within the test range. See
Supply Voltage Checks and Fuses"
4. Determine if any TDU Troubleshooting Table errors are also
being reported, and if so, follow the troubleshooting procedure
for the reported errors.
5. Replace the drive controller.
The IPM has detected an internal overcurrent, short circuit, over
temperature or under voltage fault.
1. Powercycle the GE T2100 Treadmill and monitor the GE T2100
Treadmill for reoccurrence of this error. (This may be an isolated
incident.)
2. Determine if any TDU Troubleshooting Table errors are also
being reported, and if so, follow the troubleshooting procedure
for the reported errors.
3. Replace the drive controller.
Indicates Current has exceeded 300% of Drive Rated Current.
1. Powercycle the GE T2100 Treadmill and monitor the GE T2100
Treadmill for reoccurrence of this error. (This may be an isolated
incident.)
2. Check the motor cables and drive controller connections for
short circuits.
3. Determine if any TDU Troubleshooting Table errors are also
being reported, and if so, follow the troubleshooting procedure
for the reported errors.
4. Replace the drive controller.
Indicates that the measured speed of the motor has exceeded the
trip level. (When accelerating to a demand speed close to the trip
level, there will typically be a certain amount of overshoot that may
cause this error.)
