System Adjustment

Before this adjustment, perform "3-5-3. RGB Component
Video Output System Adjustment".
Preparations
1. Turn off the power of the BRC-300/300P, and set the
switch S002 on the EX-947 board to OPE.
When the EX-947 board is not connected, set the
switch S1003-3 on the SY-314 board to OFF.
2. Set the ANALOG OUT menu of the BRC-300/300P as
follows, referring to Section 3-1-2.
OUTPUT 1: YCrCb
SYNC:
RGB
OUTPUT 2: VBS
3. Exit the menu, and turn off the power of the BRC-300/
300P.
4. Set the switch S002 on the EX-947 board to ADJ.
When the EX-947 board is not connected, set the
switch S1003-3 on the SY-314 board to ON.

5. Turn on the power of the BRC-300/300P.

Y/Cb/Cr Video Output Adjustment
Y OUT Adjustment
1. Press the BACK LIGHT button of the SIRCS remote
commander to output a 75 % color-bar signal.
2. Press the DATA SCREEN button of the SIRCS remote
commander to display the ADJUST menu.
3. Press the
button of the SIRCS remote commander
several times to display "EVR_ANA no:004
data:xxx".
4. Adjust "data" using the / button of the SIRCS
remote commander so that waveform level A on the
oscilloscope satisfies the specification.
Test point:
RGB/SYNC connector, pin 4
GND: RGB/SYNC connector, pin 1
Adjustment item:
Data of EVR_ANA no:004
A = 75 ± 1 IRE (NTSC)
Specification:
A = 700 ± 7 mV p-p (PAL)

5. Press the
button of the SIRCS remote commander to
display "EVR_ANA no:005 data:xxx".
6. Adjust "data" using the / button of the SIRCS
remote commander so that waveform level B satisfies
the specification.
Test point:
RGB/SYNC connector, pin 5
GND: RGB/SYNC connector, pin 1
Adjustment item:
Data of EVR_ANA no:005
B = 75 ± 1 IRE (NTSC)
Specification:
B = 525 ± 5 mV p-p (PAL)
