Parameterizing, saving and documenting the configuration with COM ET 200 Windows
Table 8-6 Meanings of the slave parameters
Designation
Station number
The station number is a bus-wide unique number for the DP slave.
1 to 123 for linear addressing
1 to 119 for P-page addressing
1 to 107 for Q-page addressing
FREEZE-able
The "FREEZE-able" and "SYNC-able" parameters indicate whether the DP slave can
SYNC-able
receive and respond to the FREEZE and SYNC control commands, respectively.
Configure ...
In the "Configure" dialog box
define the size of the input/output areas for a slave, and/or
assign S5 addresses to these input/output areas.
E.g. define the I/O modules and their initial addresses for the ET 200U or assign
an address to an ET 200B.
Parameterize ... In the "Parameterization" dialog box you define the contents of the parameterization
telegram, if the slave type requires this. You define, for example, areas or diagnostic
clearances for analog DP slaves.
See the manual for the DP slave for details on the "Parameterization" dialog box.
COM ET 200 Windows uses the values from the "Parameterization" dialog box to
generate the parameterization telegram which the IM 308-C sends to the DP slave on
powering up.
Entering slave
There are several ways of entering slave parameters:

Note
You can switch to the "Configuration" or "Parameterization" dialog boxes
for the DP slave straight from the graphical configuration mode.
To open the "Configuration" dialog box: Press and hold down "Shift" and
double-click on the icon for the DP slave.
To open the "Parameterization" dialog box: Press and hold down the "Ctrl"
key and double-click on the icon for the DP slave.
