SINUMERIK 840D sl Commissioning Manual CNC: ShopMill – 11/2006 Edition
You can use measuring cycles for automatic measuring on vertical machining
centers and universal milling machines with ShopMill.
This is achieved simply by connecting a touch trigger probe to the control.

The measuring cycles are supplied with ShopMill.
You have to adapt the measuring cycle data to the specific characteristics of the
machine.
The measuring probe operates internally with the command MEAS.
The functional test of the measuring probe is carried out by a part program.
