6. Power ON/OFF

6.1

Power ON

CAUTION:
Make sure that no recording media is present in the corresponding drives
before the system power is turned ON. Otherwise, the media may be
damaged or a malfunction may result.
(1) Check the items below before turning the power ON.
• The power cable should be connected.
• One or more transducer should be connected.
(2) Turn ON the main switch on the power panel on the rear of the system. The
STANDBY LED blinks.
(3) Turn ON the subswitch. Some time after the setup screen is displayed, the
B-mode screen appears. Note that this subswitch does not light even when it is
turned ON.
(4) If required, adjust the brightness and contrast using the corresponding knobs

) on the CRT monitor or the buttons on the front of the LCD monitor.
(a) Set the contrast to minimum. The image disappears.
(b) Adjust the brightness so that the brightness level of the screen is the same as
in the examination room.
(c) Then adjust the contrast to set the maximum luminance.
NOTE:
When this system is started up or another transducer is selected, you
may hear a click. This does not indicate abnormality.

Power OFF

CAUTION: 1. Do not turn the system power OFF while a recording media is being
