Cleaning the Sparger
The sparger requires periodic cleaning, when residue builds up inside.
Wear eye protection and gloves when performing this task.
To clean the sparger
1.
Shut down the Analyzer via the on-screen menu (Maintenance

Wait for the display to turn off, and then turn off power to the Analyzer using the main power switch on
the side of the Analyzer.
3.
Open the door of the Analyzer.
4.
Disconnect the tubing from the four barbs.
5.
Loosen the four Allen screws that connect the sparger to the bracket.
6.
Remove the sparger from the Analyzer.
7.
Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the mixer on the sparger (M2 - SH).
8.
Gently pull the sparger apart. Be sure to open the sparger over an appropriate waste receptacle.
Remove the mixing bar.
9.
Rinse the thru-ports of the sparger and the mixing bar with water.
10. Reassemble the sparger with the mixing bar.
11. Reconnect the electrical connector.
12. Secure the sparger to the bracket by tightening the four screws.
13. Reattach the tubing to the four barbs.
14. Perform other maintenance tasks, or close the Analyzer door and return the Analyzer to normal
operation.
