Chapter 6: Analyzer Operation

Continuous Measurements

By turning Continuous On, the Analyzer makes continuous measurements of the enabled sample streams and
the Check Standard (if it is enabled). Continuous measurement of Stream 1 is shown in
Figure
41. Only Stream 1
and the Check Standard are enabled in this example, so measurements of Stream 1 are made without a pause,
with two exceptions.

The first exception is the Check Standard, since it is enabled. Measurements of the Check Standard are made
according to the schedule established by the operator. In the example shown in
Figure
42, the check standard is
measured every three hours (the Check Standard Frequency). Since two Repetitions have been selected, the
check standard is measured twice every three hours. The first measurement is ignored because it has been
designated as a Reject.
