4-2-5. Stationary Heads Cleaning
Caution
Be careful not to damage the head surface when cleaning the stationary heads.

Procedures
1. Clean the tape running surfaces of the audio/TC head and CTL head in the vertical direction with a
cleaning cloth moistened with a cleaning fluid.

An error may occur in the playback when magnetic powder attaches to the head gap portion of the
audio/TC head and CTL head. Remove the magnetic powder completely during cleaning.
2. After cleaning, wipe it with a dry cleaning cloth two or three times.
