Installing and Replacing Components Other than Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Accelerated Data Path
8. Remove the existing compact flash memory card from the slot by gently sliding it out of the
slot.
9. Gently insert the new compact flash memory card into the slot.
10. Replace the stopper screw and spacer, and secure the screw with a screwdriver.
11. Slide the chassis assembly back into the appliance until it clicks into place.
12. Resecure the chassis assembly retaining screws.
13. Replace the hard-disk drives.
14. Press the power switches, located on each power supply at the back of the appliance, to turn
on the power to the appliance.
Note
Make sure that you turn on both power supplies.

The Check Point IP2450 appliance has eight dual inline memory-module (DIMM) sockets. This
section describes how to upgrade or replace the memory by using a Check Point-approved
memory upgrade kit.
