Installation and connection
4.5 Operation of the SENTRON circuit protection devices
Furthermore, in the case of the 5SV6 COM arc fault detection device a test tripping operation
is carried out after a short button press (< 3 s). This triggers the internal self-test of the
electronics and a tripping operation examines the tripping mechanism at the same time. This
is only possible if there is no other error on the device. Then the switch is tripped and
subsequently shows the result of the self-test with either green or yellow/red. If the LED stays
yellow/red even after renewed shutdowns, the device is faulty and needs to be replaced.
In the case of the terminal devices, resetting the communication information means that the
installation code is reset to the factory settings and in doing so, the devices lose their
connection to the 7KN Powercenter 1000. Alternatively the devices can be unpaired from the
data transceiver via the software without needing to reset the devices to factory setting (see
Chapter Decouple (Page 45)). Resetting the 7KN Powercenter 1000 resets the Bluetooth
connections and the Bluetooth PIN to factory settings. The terminal devices remain paired
with the data transceiver.
The communication information of the 3NA COM fuse can only be reset, by ensuring
communication of the fuse is possible for more than 24 hours, but a connection to the
7KN Powercenter 1000 cannot be established. To do so, the fuse must be operated with
sufficient load current but the 7KN Powercenter 1000 data transceiver must be switched off.
