If several 7KN Powercenter 1000 devices share the same radio channel, interferences may
occur between the devices. To ensure that this does not happen, the expansion of the radio
range can be reduced by lowering the transmit power. The minimum transmit power
amounts to -18 dBm. This allows the devices to be positioned closer together (< 10 m for
metallic housings, approx. 50 m in the free field without obstacles). Further information can
be found in the Chapter Commissioning several 7KN POWERCENTER 1000 (Page 49).

Permitted ambient conditions

The 7KN Powercenter 1000 and the communication-capable circuit protection devices are
designed for contamination class 2. In the case of an application with an additional risk of
contamination, heavy dust accumulation or aggressive atmosphere, the device must be
installed in a suitable housing or installation distributor.
The 3NA COM fuse however, has a higher contamination class 3. Therefore, the environment
must be examined more closely and the device must be protected using suitable measures
(e.g. a separate housing).
The ambient temperature of the devices is specified at -25°C to +60°C or from -10°C to +55°C
for the 3NA COM fuse.
The ambient temperature during storage or transport is around -40°C to +75°C or +85°C
depending on the type of device. Another range of -10°C to +70°C applies to the 3NA COM
fuse.
Relative humidity amounts to 93% at 40°C without condensation. For the 3NA COM fuse, the
relative humidity at 25°C without condensation during operation is maximum 95%.
If these requirements cannot be guaranteed, appropriate countermeasures must be taken.
