Name servers

● "Primary DNS": Address of the DNS server.

● "Secondary DNS": Address of the secondary DNS server.

If you have activated the "Obtain an IP address via DHCP" option under "IP adress", the

specifications under "Name servers"are optional.

General

You define the general network parameters under "General" .

General network settings

● "Enable simple network management protocol (SNMP)": Option to enable or disable the

Simple Network Management Protocol for data transmission.

If this option is switched, a restart of the HMI device is necessary and the "PROFINET

Port Settings" dialog box is displayed. Restart the system using the "Restart" button.

5.5.2

Change the settings for remote access to the HMI device under "Remote connection". You

can define two passwords for remote access, for example, a password for the "Operate"

right and a password for the "Monitor" right.

Change the settings under "Remote connection" only if no client is connected to the

Sm@rtServer, because changing the settings disconnects all client connections.
