Description
The signal from the HP37718A/19A SDH/SONET Transmitter is applied
to the SDH/SONET Receiver after attenuating by an amount equal to
the selected Receiver Flat Loss plus the specified Cable Loss. The Flat
Loss is obtained from a 75Ω, attenuator kit. The Cable Loss is supplied
by inserting the correct Cable Simulators for each bit rate in the
attenuation path.

Cable Simulator STM-1/STS-3 75 metres of 8120-0049
75Ω Attenuator Kit
Procedure
1 Recall the HP37718A/19A DEFAULT SETTINGS as shown on Page 3-
2.
2 Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 3-5.
