9. Perform a check on all inputs to ensure the values are reading the correct conditions.
If additional help is required to troubleshoot any of the inputs, contact LG Technical Support.
Testing Output Commands
After the inputs have been verified, the outputs need to be tested to ensure they are properly connected to
the unit equipment. Follow the steps below to test the outputs.
Web User Interface
Output testing can be performed from the web user interface home page. Testing includes manually
overriding the equipment, ensuring proper voltages are sent from the controller and verifying the equipment
responds to the controller's signal.
1. Before enabling the supply fan, make sure air will flow through the unit.
2. If the air flow channel is opened, override the supply fan command to Active. This enables the 24 VAC
signal from the controller to the VFD.
3. Verify that the controller output is sending the proper 24 VAC signal from the supply fan enable output.
4. Override the supply fan VFD to 50%. Check that this operation outputs the proper voltage for the supply
fan VFD signal out of the JENEsys controller. The VFD should ramp to 50% capacity and the supply
fan should begin running at 50% speed. The Supply Fan Status will change to On when the air flow is
reached. If the Supply Fan Status does not change from Off to On then the air flow switch input to the
JENEsys board may not be operating correctly.
5. Locate the supply fan air flow switch and make sure there are no kinks In the sensor pressure tubing.
The high pressure side should be tubed into the supply fan leaving compartment and the low pressure
side should be tubed into the supply fan entering compartment.
The dial on the air flow sensor may need to be adjusted to properly monitor the air flow.
6. Once the speed has been verified, override the supply fan VFD to 100% and make sure the VFD ramps
from 50% to 100%. At this time, the supply fan should be running at full capacity and no other equipment
should be operating.
7. Once the supply fan VFD operation and the controller outputs have been verified, leave the supply fan in
override status. Air flow is needed to complete the remaining controller outputs.
8. Check the mechanical cooling. Override ODU 1 to enable and lower the supply air setpoint to a lower
temperature than the incoming outdoor air temperature.
9. Verify that the main ODU coil is operating.
10. Check the heating sections of the unit. Override ODU 1 to enable and raise the supply air setpoint to
higher than incoming outdoor air and verify that the main ODU 1 coil is operating.
11. Disable ODU 1 and override ODU 2 to enable and verify that ODU 2 reheat coil is operating.
12. Override SCR electric heat to 100% and verify that the electric heat runs at 100%.
13. Reset the override to Auto.
14. Once all equipment has been verified, reset the overrides on the supply fan to auto.
15. Ensure that no overrides are left on in the unit.
16. If the unit is ready to operate, leave the System Enable setpoint to Enabled. If the unit is ready to
operate, leave the System Enable setpoint to Enabled. If the unit is not ready to operate, leave the Sys-
tem Enable setpoint to Disabled until the unit is ready to operate. The system enable works as a software
shutdown to the unit.
