the Remote
Control
Unit
The wireless remote control unit uses three alkaline manganese
(LR44) or silver oxide (SR44) battery cells. Always leave them
in the contro! unit whether the recorder is powered by its built-
in battery or fram AC line.
When any of the control buttons on the remote control unit is
pressed,
the button
operation
indicator
&) comes
on.
If this
indicator does not come on or the recorder is not controlled
properly, check the batteries.

@) Press the LON button of the [POWER] switch.
@ Press the RADIO button of the [FUNCTION]
selector.
@) Select the desired band with the [RADIO]
selector.
@) Turn the tuning knob and [FINE TUNING] knob to tune in
the desired radio station.
The [TUNING]
indicator will light
up when the station is tuned.
G) Adjust the volume, balance and tone for the most preferable
listening condition.
Note:
Use
the
(FINE
TUNING]
control
for MW/SW,/SW,
radio broadcasts
only.
Adjust
the direction and Jength
of the telescopic
antennas
to obtain
optimum
sound
when listening to FM and SW radio broadcasts.
@ if you operate the remote controller while listening to an AM
program,
some
noise may
be heard.
But it is not trouble of
your set.
@ When
listening to an FM stereo program, set [MODE/BEAT]
button

to the
SPACE
WIDE
position.
This
will
aliow
you to enjoy increased stereophonic effect.
