1) Assembly and Disassembly Precautions

NOTE H

: Removing the shoe unit

« Remove the four screws.

« Remove the three connectors from the body.

NOTE

: Removing the cover (F)

* Set flash head (5) to the vertical bounce (90°) and horizontal bounce (90°)

positions, and remove the two screws on cover (F).

¢ Draw out cover (F), and remove the connector from the pre-flash unit ((J)

CBA).

* Remove the two screws to remove the PSD and PSD holder (4).

: Removing the flash head

Slide the flash head toward the front. If it is pointed to either side it will come

off, but if it is in the normal front-facing position, the bounce lock knob must

be pressed while removing it. Note that the removal of the connector with the

board in the rear half (explained on the following page) should be disconnected

at this time.

: Assembling cover (F)

¢ When assembling cover (F), pay attention to the connector leads coming from

the flash head, and take care to prevent the leads from becoming nipped.
