Fault 129: Invalid Hall State—M/G
InfoCenter Display:
Fault Description
The invalid Hall state fault indicates that the Hall effect sensors in the cutting reel motor are providing an
invalid motor speed reading. Since the motor/generator reports the engine speed to the TEC-5002, the engine
becomes unstable and unable to maintain the desired speed.
Circuit Description
A series of 3 Hall effect sensors in the motor are used to detect the motor speed.
Conditions for Setting the Fault
If all 3 of the Hall effect sensors provide the same signal, an invalid Hall state is indicated and the fault is
reported. No controller action is taken.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.

The fault did not repeat. Go to

Fail
