IMPORTANT
Absolutely do not touch the reset detection voltage adjustment knob during normal operation.
This knob is used in the reset voltage test, and does not need adjustment during normal
operation.
(7) Fan power output terminals (FAN+, FAN-)
Power supply terminal for a dedicated fan when connected. Connect the red lead wire of
the fan to the FAN+ terminal, and the black lead wire to the FAN- terminal. Do not use
these terminals to supply power to other loads.
(8)
Fan alarm input terminal (ALM)
Alarm input terminal for a dedicated fan when connected. When a dedicate fan is used,
connect the yellow lead wire of the fan to this terminal. Input information is recorded in
the error log of the L3 CPU module.
The fan need not be used (natural-air-cooling) only if it is possible to lower the output to
1/3 or less of the maximum rated output. In such a case, fan stop detection may be
prohibited by short-circuiting this terminal and the fan power output (-) terminal (FAN-) (or
connecting a 1.5 KΩ or lower resistor between the two terminals).
IMPORTANT
If the output cannot be lowered to 1/3 or less of the maximum rated output, be sure to use a
dedicated fan. Otherwise, the power supply module can be overheated, resulting in failure or
system shutdown.
(9) Operation signal output terminal (RUN)
A relay output (close) terminal (1a relay terminal) that becomes ON when the CPU
module is operating normally (RUN state). Note that the RUN relay is automatically set
to ON if power is applied with no CPU module installed.
(10) AC power input terminals (L, N)
Used to connect an AC power supply.
(11) Line filter ground terminal (LG)
Used to ground the neutral point of line filter for the primary power supply.
(12) Frame ground terminal (FG)
This ground terminal is connected to the frame. Connect the grounding conductor of AC
input power cable to this terminal. The terminal is connected to the signal ground
terminal (SG) of the internal circuit via a capacitor.
(13) Battery connector
Used to connect a dedicated lithium battery to back up the memory content of each
module. A dedicated lithium battery is delivered in a separate package. Install the
battery before operation.
(14) Shutdown switch (PS791S only)
An AC input power OFF switch. Use this switch if shutdown sequence is necessary
when power is OFF.
For a controller that requires shutdown sequence, when this switch is turned OFF with
power applied, shutdown sequence continues automatically. When the shutdown
sequence is completed, power is automatically turned OFF. For a controller without
shutdown function, this switch serves as an ordinary power switch.
