11.1.2 Test of +5 V

The machine must be activated for this test and if
a fault indication is received during the test of +5 V,
the fault must be found before continuing with the
other tests.
(When trouble shooting without CST, a multimeter
must first be used to see if +5 V is being delivered
by CCU, connector D11, orange lead.) This is
because this +5 V feeds all the microswitches,
potentiometers and the control panel on the
machine.
CCU detects if the +5 V output is low due to over-
loading. If the test indicates there is no +5 V, there
is something pulling down the voltage in the ma-
chine (short circuit or load too high). To find such a
fault, you must troubleshoot the leads and compo-
nents that are supplied with +5 V in the machine.
+5 V goes out into the machine via connector D11
via an orange lead.
Make sure the connectors are inserted
the right way round.
