CST Autotest

11.1 Power Supply

11.1.1 Test of +36 V

Description of 36 V test and batteries
The first CST test is an autotest. This tests that
there is +36 V in to the CCU unit. None of the test
will work if the CCU unit is not receiving +36 V. If
testing without CST, a multimeter must be used to
measure whether CCU is receiving power when
activating with the key switch.
After turning the key to position 1, CCU will be
powered via the key switch, which is fed via a 5 A
fuse. If CCU cannot detect that it has +36 V, this
fuse must be checked first together with both 150 A
fuses.
A thick red lead goes from battery 1 through the
machine's articulated unit to a 150 A fuse located
in the machine's rear carriage. From this fuse, a
thin red lead goes to a 5 A fuse and from there, a
red lead goes to the key switch via the machine's
articulated unit. A red lead goes back from the key
to CCU on the rear carriage, which is coupled to
CCU B11. If CCU is not receiving power, this circuit
must be checked. CCU must also be connected to
GND and it is via CCU B12. If CCU cannot detect
+36 V, the GND connection must also be checked
(reference 0 V).
