11.3.2 Test of Switch for Reverse Pedal

When the driver depresses the pedal, +5 V is fed
to the white lead in the pedal plate connector. If
CCU cannot read this input signal during the test,
the switch may be defective. Measure with a volt-
meter to check that there is +5 V on the white lead
on the microswitch pin. If it is OK, check that the
signal passes the transition connector in the four-
pole connector on the pedal plate (NB. White lead
becomes green out of the connector).
NB. Measure on the side with the green lead to be
sure the signal passes the connector. This green
lead then goes directly to CCU D4. If there is no
voltage on this pin when the switch is activated
but there is voltage on the green lead after the
four-pole connector, there should be a break in the
green lead from the connector on the pedal plate
up to the input on CCU D4. Unplug connector D
from CCU and measure from D:3 to the green
lead down by the connector on the pedal plate.
It should be approximately 0 ohm between these
pins if it is OK.

11.3.3 Test of Switch for P-Brake

When the driver depresses the pedal, +5 V is fed
to the brown lead in the pedal plate connector.
(NB. P-brake must not be activated during the
test.) If CCU cannot read this input signal during
the test, the switch may be defective. Measure
with a voltmeter to check that there is +5 V on the
brown lead on the microswitch pin. If OK, check
that the signal passes the transition connector in
the four-pole connector on the pedal plate. NB.
Measure after the transition connector on the
brown lead to be sure the signal passes the con-
nector. This brown lead goes directly to CCU con-
nector D:1. If there is no voltage on this pin when
the switch is activated but there is voltage directly
after the microswitch, there should be a break
in the brown lead from the pedal plate to CCU.
Remember +5 V is sent to CCU when the brake is
not activated.
