External PTZ setup
Set the connection value for an external PTZ camera to control the PTZ by using the
RS-485 connection of the camera.
1. Select the <Video & Audio (
from Setup menu.
2. Click <External PTZ setup>.
3. Specify the serial port.
Once a camera is connected, you can
set the RS-485 communication mode.
 Protocol : Select the same protocol
as your camera from SAMSUNG-T
/ SAMSUNG-E / PELCO-D /
PELCO-P / SUNGJIN / PANASONIC
/ HONEYWELL / AD / VICON / GE /
BOSCH.
 Camera ID : Displays the fixed
camera ID.
 Baudrate : Transfer rate for RS-485 communications.
 Data bit : Specify the data bit.
 Parity bit : Specify the parity bit.
 Stop bit : Specify the stop bit.
4. When done, click [Apply (

To do this, you have to make sure the camera and the device are connected properly via RS-485
communication ports. In addition, the serial port for the connected camera should be able to
function properly.
5. Set the menu for the connected camera.
For more details, refer to the section of "To set the camera menu". (page 58)
6. Click the <PTZ> button in the upper right corner and move to the PTZ setting menu.
