The text that appears on the display varies depending on the transceiver's status.
 PF Key
Functions assigned to each key will appear while Channel Name or GID Name appears. (Refer to
for the PF Keys on page
 Function Mode
Functions that can be used in each mode appear while the transceiver is in Function Mode, such as Selcall Mode,
Status Mode and Stack Mode. However, the key guide for the Up key does not appear if the function which is used to
select the list or code is assigned to the Up or Down key.
Following are key guides that appear while the transceiver is in Function Mode:

• Key Guide for the PF keys always appears whether a function can be activated or not. The key guide which appears while the
transceiver is in Function Mode is only for the functions that can be activated.
• Key Guide for a function assigned to and activated by pressing and holding a PF key appears only if no function is assigned to the
same key.
Example 1) "K_LOCK" appears as Key Guide in the following case: Function = None, Hold = Key Lock
Example 2) "LIGHT" appears as Key Guide in the following case: Function = Backlight, Hold = Key Lock
