Inspecting the Hydraulic Cylinders
for Leaks
1.
Perform steps 1 through 3 in section
Protective Bellows to open the protective bellows
(5).

Perform steps 1 through 3 in section
Compressed-Air Supply to connect the
compressed-air supply to the scissors lift table.
3.
Inspect the hydraulic cylinders (37) for leaks.
Some oil accumulation on the cylinder rod is
normal and desired for the proper function of
the hydraulic cylinders.
If fluid is escaping from a hydraulic cylinder
and puddling on the floor, take the scissors lift
table out of operation immediately and call the
service hotline.

Completely raise and lower the platforms (3) and
(4) without any loads on the scissors lift table
once.
Press the end of the pedal marked "PUMP" (11)
to raise the platforms (3) and (4).

Press the lever (2) to release the mechanical lock
(17). Simultaneously press the end of the pedal
marked "RELEASE" (9) to lower the platforms (3)
and (4).
Ensure that the platforms (3) and (4) are only
raised or lowered when the pedal is pressed.
CAUTION
Crushing Hazard to Fingers and Hands!
Being careless while raising and lowering the
lifting equipment could cause fingers or hands to
be crushed.
Always handle the lifting equipment carefully.
Keep fingers and hands out of the danger zone
while raising and lowering the lifting
equipment.
If the hydraulic cylinders pulse, stick, or generally
do not operate smoothly, take the scissors lift
table out of operation immediately and call the
service hotline.
5.
Perform steps 5 through 6 in section
Protective Bellows to put the protective bellows
(5) back on the scissors lift table.
