FLOW OF THE PREPARATIONS

Hitachi can offer installation services, system setup, and the field technical assistance at
additional charge. For details, contact Hitachi in your region.
For the customer who prefers to install his own GS4000, Figure 2.1-1 below shows the flow of
GS4000 installation. Plan ahead so that the work for installing power supply, LAN cables, and
other communication equipment can be finished in time for the installation of the GS4000.
(1) What sort of and where the
switch should be used?
(2) Check environment where the
switch is to be placed.
(5) Prepare facility equipment
(6) Installation for power supply
and WAN/LAN cable setting
(8) Hitachi delivers the switch.
(9) Perform installation of switch.
(10) Setup configuration.
(11) Test system cooperation.
(12) Place router in service.
