Fine Adjusting the Amount of Glue
When you make a booklet in the Perfect Binding mode, you must use the correct amount
of glue or the bound booklets may be poorly finished, as shown bellow.
In this case, adjust the amount of glue to improve the finishing condition of the booklet.
Amount of Glue
Too Much
Too Little
Change the value to adjust the amount of glue in accordance with the instructions that
appear on the printer display.
You can set the value from –6 to +6 (in 1 increments).
Normal
Too little glue
Increasing the value of the setting enlarges the amount of glue.
Decreasing the value of the setting reduces the amount of glue.
NOTE
When you adjust the amount of glue, make a booklet every time you change the amount
of glue in one level increments, and check the finishing condition of the bound booklet.
Finishing Condition
Glue protrudes from booklet.
Booklet jam is occurred.
Spine is not attached evenly to the main document.
Main document detaches from the cover.
