As the host issues an inring request (*1) to an AN712 module, it takes part in ADMAP-5M
transmission.
This state applies only to participation by the AN712 module in sending or receiving the
ADMAP-5M token (transmission right), not to the execution of the AN712 module
functions of scan transmission and message transmission. To use the service of all the
AN712 module functions, an online request (*1) must be issued from the host.
*1: An inring request or online request can be issued by sending a station status control
message, one of the AN712 management request messages (AN712 SMG RQ/RR).
In using AN712 modules in a TOSDIC-CIE or TOSDIC-AD system, it is necessary for the
system to recognize the stations that use the AN712 modules.
Register the following in the system.
TOSDIC-CIE system: Register stations as COMPUTER type
TOSDIC-AD system: Register stations as G300 type
The scan transmission area is fully cleared to 0. This points to the necessity that, if an
AN712 module station, which gives a set value for scan transmission in its system, is
restarted to be initialized, the wrong set value will not reach the receiving end.
This can be accomplished by, for example, triggering scan transmission start after writing
the pre-initializing value in the scan transmission area, or dividing the set value into set
data and a strobe signal, and fetching the set value at the start of the strobe signal.
Service access points must be registered for MMS message transmission or LLC
message transmission.
The existing general-purpose ADAMAP-5M cards MAMI3 and AAMI2, for example, were
so designed that their system installation specifications were to be registered from the
host. However, registration from the host is no longer necessary because the service
access points to be used in a TOSDIC-CIE system are automatically set and registered
inside the AN712 module at its start.
