English/Metric Pulse Output Electronics
The English/Metric Pulse Output Electronics (Figure 3-6) is an interface configured for two axes
of measurement providing micrometre or microinch value pulses. A typical system contains the
following electronic equipment:
A 5501A Laser Transducer.
Two 10780A Receivers.
A 10740A Coupler.
Two 10760A Counters.
A 10761A Multiplier.
Two 10763A English/Metric Pulse Output Cards.
A 10755A Compensation Interface.
A 10756A Manual Compensator.
Two power supplies (k15V and +5V).
Equipment can be selected to provide the following additional capabilities:
a.
Up to two additional measurement axis (10760A Counter and 10763A English/Metric
Pulse Output).
b.
Automatic compensation (replace 10756A Manual Compensator with 5510A Opt 010
Automatic Compensators and 10563A Material Temperature Sensor).
The English/Metric Pulse Output Electronics (Figure 3-6) provide a universal interface for
almost all numerical controls for machine tools. Refer to Table 3-4 for typical system specifi-
cations.
