MindSphere for smart assembly network

In a power distribution board, many intelligent, communication-capable switchgear and

measuring devices, i.e. the smart assembly network, acquire different information.

Valuable conclusions can be drawn from this information, from power measurement data

about the operating conditions to detailed device statuses. For this purpose, the information

must be recorded and evaluated over a long time (→ years).

For this, Siemens offers a cloud-based, open IoT (Internet of Things) operating system

MindSphere (https://new.siemens.com/global/en/products/software/mindsphere.html).

With the 7KN Powercenter 3000, a smart assembly network can be connected to

MindSphere. See chapter Communication with MindSphere (Page 50).

6.3.1

The utmost priority is given to security in the MindSphere system.

Communication is performed with 256-bit encryption. Exchange of the onboarding key is

performed in the onboarding dialog box. See chapter Onboarding with

7KN POWERCENTER 3000 (Page 53).
