Communication with MindSphere
Benefits: MindSphere
(https://new.siemens.com/global/en/products/software/mindsphere.html) is a cloud-based,
open IoT (Internet of Things) operating system from Siemens, with which you connect your
machines and physical infrastructure to the digital world.
With 7KN Powercenter 3000, data of the smart switchgear assembly, e.g. energy values or
states, can be transferred into MindSphere in settable cycles. In MindSphere, these data are
stored, evaluated, and further processed across all devices. The data stored in MindSphere
are processed and evaluated in applications created for MindSphere, called MindApps, e.g.
powerinsight.
To handle the large volume of data in MindSphere, the 7KN Powercenter 3000 provides
setup information in MindSphere. The 7KN Powercenter 3000 even offers cost-efficient
handling of factors relevant to costs, such as data volume and transfer rate, in MindSphere.
For a general understanding of communication with MindSphere, we recommend the manual

Performance features 7KN POWERCENTER 3000:
● It concentrates the connected SENTRON on one asset.
● For each device, measured values and states are structured and made available in
groups that are identifiable in MindSphere. This is done with powerconfig in the "Cloud"
view.
● For each group, transmission to MindSphere is performed with a selectable transmission
cycle in powerconfig (≥ V 3.12) to optimize the costs for the required data rate and use of
data memory.
● The behavior of the data transmission to MindSphere can be controlled and
parameterized.
● Web-based onboarding (=logon)
