5.1 Understanding the Touchscreen

On the touchscreen, you can perform device control, system configurations, and conferencing
operations.
Basic Operations
Control the touchscreen with the following actions:

All items and buttons support touch operations. The shortcut menu cannot be displayed using
the remote control. However, the remote control has buttons corresponding to the menu items.
Home Screen
After switching to the videoconferencing mode, the DP300 displays the touchscreen shown in
Figure

Tap: Touch once to select an item or perform functions on a highlighted item.
Double-tap: Touch an item twice in rapid succession.
Tap and hold: Use your finger to touch an item on the touchscreen, and keep touching the
item for a while.
Slide: Touch and drag your finger leftward and rightward to toggle between the zones
displayed in the center on the home screen, or upwards and downwards to move to items
in lists.
Drag: Tap and hold an item on the touchscreen, and drag the item to a desired position.

Status icons are displayed in the upper right corner of the touchscreen.
NOTE
l You can also tap anywhere on the touchscreen to display or hide the main menu.
l If no window is displayed, or no operation is performed on the main menu beyond 30 seconds, the
main menu is automatically hidden, and then the display or hide main menu icon in the lower right
corner. Tap anywhere on the touchscreen to display the
