Connecting the RCP to the Power Source

An AC power cord is provided for use with the three-prong AC input connector on the
RCP (Figure 11).
Grounding of the RCP and those surfaces the user can come into contact
with is provided by grounded cables in accordance with Protection Class I
(IEC).
For protection against electrical shock hazards, each RCP must be directly
connected to an approved power source such as a 3-wire grounded
receptacle. Where an ungrounded receptacle is encountered, a qualified
electrician must replace it with a properly grounded receptacle in
accordance with the facility electrical code.
An extension cord must not be used.
If the power cable becomes cracked, frayed, broken, or otherwise damaged,
it must be replaced immediately with the equivalent part from Telemetrics.
Any break in the electrical ground path, whether inside or outside the RCP,
may create a hazardous condition. Under no circumstances should the user
attempt to modify or deliberately defeat the safety features of the RCP.
1.
Using the power cable provided, connect the AC Power Input to an approved
power source.
