Configuring Audio Output

You must adjust the audio settings in two places after you
have installed and connected the HP Digital Entertainment
Center to your audio system.
Configure both the Media Center speaker settings and
audio for the DVD player.
The following table shows which procedures to perform
for your audio system. If you set up speakers using the
Media Center Optional Components wizard, then set up
the audio for the DVD player only.

Default, no audio output configuration required.

page 140 and "Configuring audio for the DVD player" on page 140.

If you use digital audio, the Media Center S/PDIF default setting is on,
but the DVD Player S/PDIF default setting is OFF. You must change the
DVD S/PDIF default setting to ON to hear all channels in DVD digital
audio.
