Managing your NAS with Smart NAS
Smart NAS Console software enables you to manage your ASUS Storage
subsystem when it is configured as Network Attached Storage (NAS). The
NAS option requires:
•
An iSCSI SAN data connection, see page 24.
•
Logical drives configured for NAS, see page 51.
If you have not installed Smart NAS Console, see ―Installing Smart NAS
Console‖ on page 36. Also see ―Appendix A: Setting-up NAS Network
Drives‖ on page 407.
Starting Smart NAS Console
During installation, Smart NAS Console is configured to start automatically when
you boot your PC. If you quit Smart NAS Console without rebooting, or you
disable the autostart feature, you must start Smart NAS Console manually.
To start Smart NAS Console manually, go to the Start menu and choose (All)
Programs >
ASUS > Smart NAS Console and click the Smart NAS Console
The Smart NAS Console screen appears on your desktop.
