BASIC OPERATIONS
Recording can be performed on Deck !I only. Recording
is not possible on Deck |. You can make a recording of
a source which has been processed with the sound field
processor (or the sound image controller).
1. Press the eject button ( 4 ), and load the tape
for recording into Deck Hl.

Check to see that the accidental erasure preven-
tion tabs are not broken off.
@
Wind the tape forward past the leader to the start
of the magnetic coated portion.
2. Select the REV MODE switch.

recording on one side of a tape.

and then on the other (from forward to
reverse direction only).
3. Set the DOLBY NR switch to the desired po-
sition.

4. Use the FUNCTION
button on the receiver to
select the recording source.

5. Press the REC PAUSE button (@ If).
@ The recording indicator lights.
@ The direction indicator flashes.
@ When the APSC function is operated, recording is
performed while automatically setting the optimum
recording level.
6. Press the appropriate play button (Por <4).
The receiver display section will function to show the
elapsed recording time.
@
Next, begin playback of the component selected
for recording in step 4.
7. Play the recording source.
8. To stop recording, press the stop button (
Mf).
@ The FUNCTION button cannot be switched during
recording.
@ This unit's recording level has been previously set,
but the APSC (Auto Peak Search Control) is provid-
ed to allow even better recording results.
NOTE
Even if the SUPER P. BASS is set ON, recording is per-
formed in the OFF position.

jusqu'au début de la portion magnétique.
2. Sélectionner le commutateur de mode d'inver-
sion (REV MODE).
