Customize your personal listening experience using
a step-by-step Ear ID process and get access to your
personalized profile. Perform the Ear ID evaluation in
a quiet place and pay full attention to the step-by-step
guidance.
What is Ear ID
Every ear is different, and each user has unique
listening preferences. With Ear ID the user has the
capability to personalize their HP Hearing PRO
Hearing Aids to deliver the best sound to their own
hearing profile. At the core of the innovative Ear
ID personalization system is the NAL-NL2* unique
programming formula, used globally by hearing aid
manufacturers and audiologists.
After assessing the levels of your hearing at various
frequencies, the HP Hearing App automatically adjusts
and creates your unique, personal Ear ID profile that
is designed to compensate for your perceived mild to
moderate hearing loss.

App controls
Use the Menu Bar to navigate to the Ear ID and About
screen.
The Feature Buttons let you control the World Volume
or the Focus features.
Use World Volume to adjust how loud you want to hear
your environment and the world around you. Move the
Active Dot around the dial to increase or decrease the
overall World Volume.
Control your World Volume by toggling On/Off. ANC
(Active Noise Cancellation) is automatically activated
when World Volume is Off.
Use Focus to adjust the directionality of the
microphones in your hearing aids to hear more clearly
directly in front of you.
Do NOT use the hearing aids with World Volume at
maximum.
Do NOT use the hearing aids with "Focus On" - when
the inability to hear surrounding sounds may present a
danger to yourself or others. For example while riding a
bicycle or walking in or near traffic, a construction site
or railroad tracks.
