Installing and Configuring Enhanced DFS 3.0
Handling of setuid Programs and Device Files in DFS
DESCRIPTION
The cm sethardmount command specifies whether the Cache Manager
should provide hard mount semantics for the indicated filesets. Indicate each
fileset for which hard mount semantics are to be provided or not provided by
specifying the name of a file or directory in the fileset with the
option.
-path
Hard mount semantics are provided on a per-fileset and per-Cache Manager
basis. This command is commonly included in a start-up file
(/etc/rc or its equivalent) to provide hard mount semantics at machine
startup.
If on is specified with the
option, or if the
option is omitted,
-state
-state
the Cache Manager provides hard mount semantics for the indicated filesets.
If off is specified with the
options, the Cache Manager does not
-state
provide hard mount semantics for the indicated filesets. By default, the
Cache Manager does not provide hard mount semantics for a fileset.
Privilege Required
The issuer must be logged in as cell_admin on the local machine.
EXAMPLES
The following command causes hard mount semantics to be provided for the
fileset that contains the directory /.../abc.com/fs/usr/jlw:
$ cm sethardmount -path /.../abc.com/fs/usr/jlw
