Charging contacts
To safely transmit the high charging power, the Tap 1 connector of the charging cable uses the following charging contacts:

Use
Single-phase AC contact or DC+ when using Level 1 power
The PD contact enables the vehicle to detect the presence of a
charging plug.
The PE grounding contact protects the device in case of a
faulty cable connection.
The DC+ contact forms the plus pole for direct current
charging.
The DC- contact forms the negative pole for DC charging.
Vehicle and charging station communicate via the signal
contact CP.
AC neutral contact or DC- when using Level 1 power
