Installation

The BKMA-550 is an optional board for use with the MAV-555A Multi-
access Video Disk Recorder. With this board installed, the MAV-555A can
transfer audiovisual files through a Gigabit Ethernet
The MAV-555A version needs to be 2.31 or higher to use the BKMA-550.
When the BKMA-550 is installed, the MAV-555A can transfer audiovisual
files through a Gigabit Ethernet.
• Provides a maximum of six FTP transfer sessions
• File transfer software: BZMA-E555 (sold separately)
To use the various features of the BKMA-550, install it in the OPTION-3
SLOT of the MAV-555A. Further, it is necessary to replace part of the
connector panel on the rear panel of the MAV-555A, then connect the
MDR connector to the appropriate connector of the BKMA-550. For more
details about how to install the BKMA-550, please refer to the BKMA-550
Installation Manual.
To install the BKMA-550, it is necessary to have a separate gateway PC.
The recommended gateway PC and PC optional board appear below. For
the latest about recommended PCs and optional boards, contact your Sony
sales representative or a service center near you.
