3-3. Cleaning the Optical System
3-3-1. Cleaning the Lens Assembly
1. Remove the lens assembly. (Refer to the instruction
manual.)
2. Blow off the dusts on the lens surface using the air
blower for optical use.
3. For stubborn dusts which cannot be removed using the
air blower, clean with a cleaning cloth moistened with
cleaning liquid for optical use.
4. After cleaning, install the lens assembly after the
cleaning liquid has evaporated completely.

3-3-2. Cleaning the OPS Assembly
1. Remove the gate base (35) assembly.
(Refer to section 3-2-1.)
2. Remove the retainer (35). (Refer to section 3-2-2.)
3. Blow off the dusts on side A of the OPS assembly
using the air blower for optical use.
For stubborn dirt which cannot be removed with the air
blower, or if dirt is adhered to side B of the OPS assembly,
remove the OPS assembly using the following procedure,
and clean.

4. Disconnect the connector CN1 of the SE-515 board.
5. Remove the four screws, and remove the OPS assem-
bly. (Refer to section 1-10, step 9.)
6. Clean with a cleaning cloth moistened with cleaning
liquid for optical use.
7. After cleaning, install the OPS assembly after the
cleaning liquid has completely evaporated.
