12. Maintenance
In case of Figure 19, cleaning for disc or optics in the drive is required.
12.1. Disc
Try to avoid touching the read area (underside) of the disc as dirt and smear will degrade
the disc accessing speed.
If the disc dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth.
12.2. Optical Pickup
A dirty optical pickup will also degrade the access time.
In such a care, please consult our company.
13.Emergency Eject
Execute following procedure only in the case of emergency (Tray will not open although pressing
Eject button).
(1) Turn the CD-ROM drive supplying power off, and then keep the this condition for 1 minute.
(2) Insert solid bar (like paper clip) into Emergency eject hole and push as shown in Fig.23.
Then Tray will be ejected.
