Advanced ARMC Card Configurations,
Host Heartbeat
The Host Heartbeat Configuration screen is a subsection of the Advanced group. This
page allows you to configure the Host Heartbeat's time interval. The ARMC card expects
a heartbeat from host system after every configured elapsed time interval to know that the
operating system on host system is up and running.
The new Heartbeat Configuration takes effect only after the ARMC card receives the
next heartbeat from the host system.

Note:
You must install the ARMC Server Heartbeat program to use the Host Heartbeat
program to monitor the operating system. The ARMC Server Heartbeat program is
located on your ARMC CD and must be installed on the host system. The host system is
the system that has the ARMC card physically installed into it.

Description
This field allows you to set the heartbeat time intervals in seconds.
By default, the Heartbeat Time Interval is set to 45 seconds.
Check this box to enable Auto Server Recovery.
When Auto Server Recovery is enabled, the host system can
automatically be power cycled or reset when there is an event that
causes the operating system to stop responding.
You can have the host system power cycle in the event that the
operating system stops responding.
You can have the host system reset in the event that the operating
system stops responding.
This button allows you to save your configuration.
