Alert Recipients

The Configure Alert Recipients screen is a subsection of the Configuration group. This
page configures alert recipients and conditions under which the recipients are to receive
alerts. The following table describes the information listed in this subsection in detail:

Description
This dropdown menu allows you to choose and configure up to eight
destination types.
This field allows you to assign a customized name to your
destination.
This dropdown menu allows you to choose the type of delivery
method that is used to send notifications. You can use any of the
following types of delivery:
Mail via LAN (default)
SNMP via LAN
Mail via PPP
SNMP via PPP
This dropdown menu allows you to choose when an alert is sent out.
You can have alerts sent out for all events or critical events only. By
default, alerts are disabled.
This field allows you to enter an email address of the person who is
to receive the alert. For this to work, you must have the Notification
Method set to Mail via LAN or Mail via PPP.
This field allows you to enter a destination to send SNMP traps. For
this to work, you must have the Notification Method set to SNMP via
LAN or SNMP via PPP.
If your Notification Method is set to Mail via PPP or SNMP via
PPP, you can enter your log in ID or user name in this field.
If your Notification Method is set to Mail via PPP or SNMP via
PPP, you can enter your password in this field.
This button allows you to save your configuration.
