10-2-1. Downloading the Program
Before using the HDS-7100 system, load the operating program supplied in the ROM pack to the flash
memory in the system.
The program in the flash memory is not cleared when the power is turned on or off. Once the program
has been loaded, it does not need to be re-loaded till the program is upgraded.
To load the program, perform "Downloading the software" and "Initializing the nonvolatile memory".
Precautions during upgrading
When loading the program, the set-up data in the nonvolatile memory is initialized to the default values
and the snapshot data in the RAM is cleared.
Therefore, before loading the program, save the set-up data and snapshot data in the optional memory
pack (BZS-2090A) or other device.

Downloading the software
To load the program from the ROM pack for the HDS-7100 for the first time, do the following.
(1) Insert the ROM pack 2 (OPERATING PROGRAM 2) for upgrading supplied with the HZS-7060 to
the specified position of the rear panel of the BKDS-2010.
