Notes:
* BLANK SEARCH cannotbe operated with a cassette without a safety tab.
* BLANK SEARCH may not operate when a blank section lasts no more than five minutes.
* BLANK SEARCH will not be engagedin the following sections since they are not recognized as blanks:
—Sections with noise
— Sections where only sound has been recorded
— Sections where previous recordings have not beentotally erased
Controls
TV Screen
Press the (~) (VIEW/BLANK)buttonin the STOP
mode.
The BLANK SEARCH screen will appear and the
tape will fast forward automatically.
* The blank which is the nearest the current tape
position is searched for.
* When a blank is detected, the tape will
automatically rewind to the beginning of the
blank.
Notes:
+ When a cassette withouta safety tab is inserted,
"Ti " will flash in the VCR display for several
seconds and the cassette will be ejected
automatically.
+ When a cassette has not been inserted, the

When the beginning of blank is located, the STOP
screen will appear for five seconds and the tapewill
stop.
Note: Makesurethat the tape is at the beginning of
blank before you start recording or editing.

fast forward:
The tape will be visually scannedin the forward
direction while the button is held.
+ When the button is released, the tape will rewind
or fast forward again.
